·         Assist startup highspeed wireless ISP in organizing major rollout, managed Central and Broadcast Wireless networks and installations, migrated network to Boulder, established inventory/purchasing system, developed and managed technical department of 8, hired staff, prepared technical manual and job descriptions, completed site contracts, and installed T1s.

 

1999                 FlashNet Communications, Inc., Carrier Access Manager

 

·         Managed network capacity through traffic monitoring, vendor negotiations, order writing, billing review (obtained $50K credit from major ILEC), provisioning and installing of local access and long haul circuits.

 

1998                 Pacific Bell, San Ramon, Project Manager, Contracted

 

·         Project managed E911 SS7 End Office Trunk Conversion Project-LATA 1.  Successfully coordinated high-profile conversion of three PSTN central offices (with multiple end offices) to SS7 network, early and under budget, and developed plan for additional 3 offices.  Worked with all levels of engineers and management.

 

·         Organized E911portion of 408 Area Code Split to reroute emergency telephone service to new 831 NPA.  Identified priority issues and solutions for E911 Network conversion and wrote Conversion Plan.  Completed mandatory deadline without incident or delay.

 

·          Converted, moved and installed ACDs. Project managed 2 internal PacBell Call Centers to move, expand and convert from DMS100 Teloquent to 5ESS Pinnacles ACD system, working with system engineers and installers.  Both projects completed satisfactorily and on time.

·         Coordinated influx of multiple CLEC collocation orders.  Compiled job workbooks, coordinated cost estimates, established audit trails.

 

·         Assisted Facilities Inventory Managers.  Wrote jobs for Central Office facilities.  TITAN, KENTROX, RCS28, SONET rings- augments and installs.  Compiled project control sheets for switch upgrade, including T1 circuit assignment.  Became highly valued by FIMs.

·         Engineered unbundled local loop service.  Coordinated collocated installations, moves and changes with PacBell/Ameritec/USWest.  Interacted with RBOC, field engineers and order processing personnel.

 

·         Conceived, coordinated, contributed, edited and distributed Departmental Provisioning Procedural Manual.

 

·         Assisted in development of departmental procedures for LNP.  Developed and delivered PowerPoint presentation for provisioning group of 40, describing concepts and impact of Local Number Portability.  Reviewed and critiqued proposed procedures. 

 

·         Independently established online (GUI) trending reports.  Conceived and created graphic trending reports and delivery protocol for daily status to management.

 

·         Participated in switch regrooming, ASR/LSR design and development, IDLC assignments, Vmail/PBX applications and work review audits.
