Celtic Jam Sessions
Western North Carolina has a rich
tradition of Celtic, Irish, and Scottish Folk Music that has evolved
over time into Mountain Music, Old Time, and Blue Grass with the
addition of new instruments, playing styles, and cultural divergence.
For those of you who would like to learn to play the original Celtic,
Irish and Scottish folk tunes, there are numerous on-going and scheduled
Celtic Jam Sessions in various towns throughout the Smoky Mountains.
Here are some convenient lists which we try to keep current, but always
call to confirm - especially during bad weather:
