If you are one of
the estimated 50 million Americans who are "cultural
creatives" then we want to meet you and introduce you to
"Asheville - City of Light". The City of Asheville and the
surrounding Smoky Mountains Region have been drawing thousands of cultural
creatives from around the world over the last 10 years, and many have
stayed on to create the kind of "values-based
lifestyle" that is a core belief of CC's everywhere. Despite the
economic difficulties of living in Western North Carolina, these
transplants are digging in and working hard to pioneer a more positive,
healthy, sustainable way of life to pass on to their grandchildren.
We think that you'll be pleasantly surprised at some of the very positive things going on in the Katuah Bioregion, and we promise you a wonderful time as we take you around to meet some very creative, interesting people and view their lifestyles & handiwork. You will also have the opportunity to participate in a local drum circle, a sacred site experience in the national forest, and some discussions about the philosophies and values of Cultural Creatives. If you are starving for some intelligent conversation about the ideas of Ken Wilber, Joseph Campbell, Gail Sheehy, Robert Bly, Stephen Levine, M. Scott Peck, Fritjof Capra, E. F. Schumacher, Paul Brunton, and others, then this is the place for your next getaway weekend. Learn about the various practical approaches to sustainability, community, stewardship, and spiritual growth by visiting a local Ecovillage and having lunch with a Permaculture Consultant. You will also have access to all of our Center's creative resources: music conservatory, library, educational videos, broadband internet access, and global information system. While you are here you might want to fire up your own creative spirit and let yourself create whatever comes up in your consciousness. Maggie is especially helpful in assisting people with revitalizing their creativity. If finances are a problem for you at this time, don't worry. Just give us a call and talk with Maggie, or send her an email. She will work with you to put together a custom travel package that will fit within your budget. We really want to meet you and encourage you to explore your full potential as a creative spirit. Now is the time to explore the Road Less Traveled.
