About
Us
The project known
as Philosophy, Phun and Phellowship, or PH3 for short, has been
operating at a modest level since 19??. Throughout those years
it has been guided by the paradigm that "everything in the
universe is totally interrelated and interdependent". The
bedrock truth of this paradigm has inspired us to persevere, as
it's very clear to us that the world is suffering from a crisis
of perception: the interrelationships are not seen.
Instead, there
exists all the ills brought about by envisioning ourselves as
separate, better than, radically different, isolated, etc., etc.
Out of this disconnect comes most of the ills of the world:
racism, oppression, discrimination, intolerance, distorted
values, poor human relations, poor national and international
relations, environmental deterioration, and loss of well-being.
Over the years we
have had great success in putting this inclusive paradigm out
there where it may be clearly perceived. We have done this in
public forums, such as:
- "Mindwalk",
the movie based on the work of Fritjof Capra..
- "What
Does It Mean to be Human in the 21st Century?"
- "The
Skill of Thinking"
- "Critical
Thinking"
- Pre-University
Institute
We have
hosted such notable speakers as:
- Richard
Barrett (author of "Liberating the Corporate
Soul")

PH3 was founded
by educator and philosopher
Dr. David V. Guerin, who at age 90
continues to personify the "full life" ideals that
Philosophy, Phun and Phellowship continues to espouse. Our
emphasis is on group participation and personal involvement with
a thorough & balanced presentation serving as a catalyst for
lively discussion. All in a non-judgmental, non-proselytizing
environment.
- The
presentation is framed by short, introductory performances
by talented performing artists who exemplify the creative
full life and inspire both wonder & delight.
- At some PH3
venues, gourmet food may be served to complete the
Philosophy, Phun and Phellowship experience.
We can help you
to create a PH3 event in your community, and begin a rich
cultural dialogue that can last a lifetime! |
