Ever since I met some friendly native New Zealanders during an ocean voyage almost 50 years ago, I have wanted to visit this island nation, known to some as the "crown chakra of the world". Now that I have celebrated my 90th birthday, and still have reasonably good health, I have decided to treat myself to my first New Zealand Adventure.

While I would prefer to travel around New Zealand by RV, stopping to meet interesting people and experience their culture, for this first trip I will be taking a guided 11-day tour package provided by Trafalgar Tours. This will be a little easier on these old bones, and give me a chance to visit both North and South Island during this short excursion. But this trip is about more than just seeing the landscape.

It is my fondest wish that some of you New Zealanders will see my website and be inspired to create a PH3 - Philosophy, Phun and Phellowship forum event in your local community. So inspired, in fact, that you will contact me during my upcoming visit and come meet me in person. I would so love to hear about your life, your land, your artists, your thinkers, and your concerns. Perhaps we could create a PH3 community forum experience that includes some "international elements"? (I have some friends in the States that would love the chance to speak or perform in New Zealand.)
