Vision Quest Adventure

In gratitude for our many gifts & freedoms,
we offer a prayer of thanks to our Earth Mother
and our Heavenly Father
and seek direct guidance & insight.

Together we will trek to a Sacred Site*,
build a sacred fire,
offer up sweetgrass & sage,
make a food offering to all our relations,
perform our sacred pipe ceremony,
create sacred music,
dance around the Sacred Fire,
and lift up our voices and our prayers.

We will guide you in creating Sacred Music:
drumming, dancing, chanting & toning, 
and focusing your Spiritual Energy.

Local healers, teachers, and ministers
will be available as needed
to facilitate your spiritual journey.

Your goal will be
to dissolve blocks to your spiritual growth,
heal old wounds that lie at the core of your Being,
and receive the Gift of Direct Insight.

* These are NOT Native American Sacred Sites. 
They are sites in the National Forests that are sacred to us.
Our Vision Quest experience in NOT based on any traditional culture or teachings.
It is a process we have created to foster self-discipline, endurance, inner focus, and
deep listening for modern peoples of any religious or ethnic background.

The Vision Quest program includes both Weekend & Seven Day Experiences, depending on your schedule.

(Note: the following program is a guideline - we may deviate from it 
in order to facilitate your personal vision quest.)

Day One

8:00a.m. to 7:00pm Welcome Seven Day Trekkies
Seven day trekkies will meet Alan & Maggie (your spirit helpers) at Maggie's Place, eat with us, share their life stories, and prepare for the Vision Quest Orientation Meeting.

7:30 to 10:00p.m. Vision Quest Orientation Meeting
Vision Quest Orientation at Maggie's Place. All attendees will meet in a Sacred Circle in our Altar Room, where we will get to know each other and prepare for the Weekend Sacred Site Sessions. We will ask Great Spirit to guide us and show us The Way. You will choose what instrument you wish to bond with, and plan what to take in your day pack the following day.

10:30 to 11:15p.m. Storytime
Dressed for bedtime, we will hear a Sacred Story designed to take us gently & peacefully into Dreamtime.

Day Two

8:00-9:00a.m. Breakfast & Session One Preparations
Guests of Maggie's Place will share a hearty breakfast with us and prepare for the trek to Session One.

10:00 to 1:00p.m. Session One
All attendees will assemble at the Session One Sacred Site for the procession, invocation, intentioning, and process. We will build a Sacred Fire, make an offering to Great Spirit, perform a Pipe Ceremony, create Sacred Music, Dance, Tone, Meditate and then listen for guidance.

1:00 to 2:00p.m. Picnic Lunch
We will share a picnic lunch amidst the splendor of the Smoky Mountains and share our experiences.

3:00 to 6:00p.m. Session 2
We will repeat the Session 1 experience at a different Sacred Site. This time, we will intensify our energy & intention, as well as surrender to the feelings that come up.

7:00 to 8:30p.m. Dinner at Maggie's Place
Seven day trekkies will share dinner with Maggie & Alan and talk about their experiences so far.

8:30 to 10:00p.m. Releasing Treatment
You will then receive special assistance to help you overcome any "Sticking Points" that have surfaced. Your releasing treatment will help prepare you for an early Dreamtime – you will be tired from the day’s activities.

Day Three

8:00-9:00a.m. Breakfast & Session Three Preparations
Guests of Maggie's Place will share a hearty breakfast with us and prepare for the trek to Session Three.

10:00 to 1:00p.m. Session Three
All attendees will assemble at the Session Three Sacred Site for the procession, invocation, intentioning, and process. We will build a Sacred Fire, make an offering to Great Spirit, perform the Pipe Ceremony, create Sacred Music, Dance, Tone, Pray and Meditate.

1:00 to 2:00p.m. Picnic Lunch
We will share a picnic lunch amidst the splendor of the Smoky Mountains and share our experiences.

2:00 to 3:30p.m. Closing Circle & Sharing
We will join in a Sacred Circle and share our experiences. The Weekend trekkies will depart for their journey home. The Seven Day trekkies will return to Maggie's Place for Personal Assessment Session.

4:30 to 6:30 Personal Assessment
You will meet with Maggie & Alan to assess your state of spiritual awareness and develop your Deepening Process. Many options will be available to you, including a Counseling Session, Gestalt Therapy, Guided Visualization, Massage, Deep Seeing Session, Hypnotherapy, Reiki, Shiatsu, Sensory Deprivation, Sacred Storytelling, Spiritual Video or Music, etc. Based on this Personal Assessment, we will plan the experiences & sequencing of the rest of your Vision Quest.

7:00 to 8:30p.m. Dinner at Maggie's Place
Seven day trekkies will share dinner with Maggie & Alan, talk about their experiences so far, and share life stories.

8:30 to 10:30p.m. Bonding with Your Guide
You will spend some quality time with your Personal Vision Quest Guide in order to prepare for your Vision Quest. You will need to trust your Guide thoroughly in order to Dive Deeper into Spiritual Consciousness. A simple Crafts project, sharing diary readings or poetry, a walk or bike ride around the neighborhood, a group meditation, some Internet Web Surfing, or anything else you desire that is grounding would be acceptable.

Day Four
Your Deepening Sessions are scheduled for today. You will begin a Purification Fast today – we will supply you with fluids, vitamins, herbal teas, etc. to help you cleanse the toxins that have built up in your body. Also, fasting helps to focus the mind and awaken the Spirit. You will spend some quality time in Deep Meditation with us. This will prepare you for your Vision Quest Wilderness Trek.

Day Five
We will take you to your Vision Quest Sacred Site. There we will perform our Vision Quest Ceremony with you and sit vigil with you until your Vision comes. The ceremony involves creating Sacred Music, Dancing, Toning, Praying and Meditating. If necessary we will stay up all night with you, keeping you awake until the Deep Seeing comes upon you.

Day Six
You will break your fast today and receive special treatment to begin to revitalize your body and rest from the ordeal of the previous evening. You will be able to discuss your vision with us and ponder its meaning and determine how it might affect the course of your life. You are invited to write a letter to your Future Self, which we will mail to you at a designated date sometime in the future. We will have some downtime in the evening for whatever you desire.

Day Seven
This will be your Closing Circle Day. You will be able to spend a little more time with us to talk about whatever you wish. Perhaps you would like to go on one more outdoor adventure, or play music, or receive another treatment, or whatever. Here at Maggie's Place you are being honored for all that you are and all that you can become – you have the right to choose what you want to do next. We will encourage you to keep in touch and let us know how you are doing in the future. Great Spirit has led us here to serve all those who are truly seeking Peace, Happiness and Wisdom – therefore, we are here to SERVE YOU! May you take the messages that you received during your Vision Quest and use them to continue your Spiritual Evolution, attain Self-Realization, and Serve the Great Plan. That is the true purpose and meaning of Human Life.
