Stop the Mind by Maggie Barton
Stop the mind, I want to get off - spirit
implores.
Off from the incessant endlessness of it all.
Returning to the peaceful stillness.
Resting in my makers arms.
Stop the mind I want to get off - spirit implores.
Please leave me be. Just give me a break.
A break from the constant goings on.
Fragmented conversations and projected imaginary outcomes.
All just a big waste,
Serving useless captivity.
Stop the mind, I want to get off.
Off to the meadow, to lie amidst its lush softness.
My mind runs after me trying to grasp, trying to cling.
Hungrily scavenging around, looking to feed off of me.
Go away my spirit commands, and leave me be.
You dont belong to me.
Stop the mind, I want to get off.
Always out there worrying, fretting and fearing.
Just carrying on.
Let me off the roundabout, stop the turmoil, and stop the endless
illusion.
Just keep away from me.
